Caramel candy brownies

I know pretty well that it is against all my principles to put too much sugar in anything, but this time I will make an exception. My better part is going to a trip with some friends I have not seen a long time and I thought it would be nice to send them a small gift.

Almost everyone likes chocolate and caramel and I used this soft spot this time.



You will need.



200 gr. caramel candy soft ones are better


150 gr. dark chocolate something like 70 %


150 gr. butter



5 large eggs


2/3 cup of sugar


1 1/2 cups flour


1 tsp. baking powder




It is the usual drill.

Melt the chocolate with the butter over a water bath, but this time melt the caramel candy also in. When melted leave for a second to cool off.


In a bowl whisk the eggs with the sugar until fluffy, add the flour and baking powder. Stir in the chocolate-caramel mix and done….




Pour in a tray lined with baking paper and toss in  a preheated oven 170 C. for 30 minutes.


Do not over bake the brownie, no one likes a dry brownie.




Very complicated this time, as usual.


I have heard that the brownie was inhaled for breakfast the first day and was long gone. Also they invited me to join them not for the skiing  but to play a private cook at the evening. Very nice thought.


Gourmet ski trip, next time I will think of a salary and go.
