Chestnut Tart

 I have noticed I make way to much tarts, but this it.Lazy people dinner solution.OR not.

 

 

  May be some things are happening to you in a personal  plan but eating is an important part of well being, not that I practise it often.

 Let me say again that none in his right mind is making puff pasty from a scratch, in the stores are so many choices that there is no need to overdo it.

 

 I`m buying lately the light version, if you do want or find light, it`s not a deadly sin.

 

As usual I`m making something from nothing.

 

 

You will need

 

 

1 pack puff pastry

 

300 gr. mushrooms thinly sliced

 

6,7 pieces prosciutto

 

150 gr. cooked and peeled chestnuts chopped in small

 

1 big onion chopped in very, very small

 

Majoran, salt and pepper

 

 

 

Preheat the oven 170 C.

 

 

 

In a baking tray lay the puff pastry sprinkle over the chopped onions and the chestnuts.Lay over the mushrooms and at last the prosciutto, give it a generous amount of herbs, salt and pepper.

 

Drizzle little olive oil or if you have truffle oil and toss in the oven for 25-30 minutes.

 

 

 

 

   I know this is this time of the year when everybody is crazy shopping and worrying about the gifts and the feast, but give it a break.

 

  As I can remember Christmas is not a commercial Holliday , it is a family one.

 

 Take a breather and instead of buying overpriced crap to your loved ones give them some time from your own.

 

 Be together, laugh, relax , do something , do nothing , but just be together and show them your love…..
