To be honest I do not like ice cream, I do not eat ice cream and I do not allow bought ice cream in the house.Do not close the site and slam the laptop, some people don`t love it like most of the human population.
The story begins when we were young we had a neighbour, she worked at a big ice cream manufacturer and one day we got 5 kg. of chocolate ice cream. I do not know if I remember right, at first we were really happy and then…
I think my mother did not make any sweet treats during this time, because WE HAD ICE CREAM. It is true that when you overeat with something you cannot stand it later in your life. This is why I do not eat or like ice cream, especially chocolate one…
But now I`m not alone and my hubby actually loves ice cream and especially chocolate, how about life laughing in your face.
So what a good wife does is to buy an ice cream maker and to try to make the perfect ice cream.
Did not happen for me. Ice cream normally contains raw egg yolks and this is the first thing I did not like. If you were in a hospital with food poisoning you will understand my paranoia.
After a couple of unsuccessful attempts with the machine I think I gave up.
These days I weirdly thought about it and found a recipe by David Lebovitz and decided I`ll give a try.
I`m copy pasting his recipe and his thoughts, because you had enough of mine.
I found that this keeps for weeks in the freezer and maintains it’s absolutely perfect consistency. Cheers!
2 ounces (55 g) bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped
6 tablespoons (80 ml) milk, whole or low-fat
6 tablespoons (80 ml) Bailey’s liquor
1 medium-sized ripe banana, peeled*, and cut into chunks
1 tablespoon (15 ml) dark rum
1. In a small bowl set over a pan of simmering water (or in the microwave), melt the chocolate with the milk.
2. Blend the melted chocolate the Bailey’s, the banana, and rum until smooth.
3. Pour into a plastic or metal container, cover, and freeze for at least 4 hours.
I did exactly what the man said and it worked imagine this shit, it is really so easy.
No need to say Adult ice cream only…
So if you have five spare minutes, really five give it a try – it is amazing…
